of Echo - Dont use the Basic Ceiling. When an architect uses the Basic Ceiling-Generic type they are creating a situation for the Revit MEP user they may not be aware of. It allows a Civil 3D user to define the shared coordinate system to be passed on to a Revit project. Note that it uses a file formatted as ACCSXML (Autodesk Consulting Coordinate System eXtensible Markup Language). Check it out, might help your next project? I just set up Shared Coordinates on a project the regular way.

When MEP (Systems as it was called then) appeared a year later they extended the concept to Mechanical and Electrical (plumbing lumped in with Mechanical till release 2013). Apart from the automatic graphically biased changes they make, they really just help us segregate views in the project browser. 7:46 AM.

Should I Use Revit for this Project? the architect isnt using Revit, the engineers arent using Revit, we dont really need 3D for this project, this project doesnt have the margin, this project is fast track, this project isnt big enough, this project is too big". Is this our first project using Revit? -

Interestingly, in Ceiling Plan views only, when we take advantage of this we lose the ability to show just two lines with Detail Level: Coarse. Could it be that the wall is not being cut in the ceiling plan view and the multiple lines are actually projection lines? Comments: Comments are moderated to manage spamming.
