System families have a Function setting. Thats true for Walls, Floor, Roofs and Ceilings. If changed I suspect people would have less trouble deciding which function is appropriate. Such as nesting families, Variable swing features 2d/3d, Alignment for adjacent walls and creating a variable multi-lite panel. Change the scale of the view to make it easier to constrain, select geometry. On a somewhat related note, is there a way to change or get rid of added object styles in a parent family? 9:58 PM.

Using that method in conjunction with key to select ALL the walls, you can get a VERY quick SF. The downside is that is uses the wall's centerline. In addition, I can use the grips of the mass to adjust the perimeter if I need to and the floor area dynamically changes. Comments: Comments are moderated to manage spamming.
