The essence of the warning is that something has changed in a way that Revit cant transfer the dimension reference to the new object. Edit: Btw, I wrote, and scheduled this to post ahead of time, in response to an question via email and a last night I read a post at RevitForum.org that asks why almost the same thing is happening.

Delete Sheets In Browser or Schedules. Revit warns us that they have been deleted from the model but they are still listed in schedules. To really delete them we have to open a schedule view and delete them there. How about instead having a Rooms explorer, like you can explore Schedules, Sheets and Families? Whadya think?

Further, views can be tied to view templates and have changes to a view template take effect immediately in a view or many views. We can apply a view template like before, just to make a change or we can assign a view template to the view so that it will alter the view without the past extra step of applying the view template.

Youve just downloaded some content from a manufacturers site and realize that none (or many) of its most interesting parameters are not going to show up in your schedule. It can be seen from within a project but not scheduled or tagged unless it is a built in parameter like those listed under the Identity group (and provided for us by Autodesk). Consider that a Project Parameter is part of a project and applied to categories of families so that it can be scheduled, but NOT tagged. Changing a Username.

FFE NIC (by owner that may be easier to manage alone). There is a little known technique for managing these using worksets when dealing with linked files and their levels and grids. If you reach for a workset to manage element visibilty you owe it to yourself to consider a deeper look at Filters. Floors Condos. Floors Rental.

As for other subtle library changes we will now find some categories separated by Internal and External, interesting language choice versus Interior and Exterior. However, as fast as some design solutions change a single solution family might get built quicker than the one we make trying to anticipate how it might change. If the family is rendered irrelevant as soon as the design changes then investing a lot of time in making it parametric may not make sense. stimmo520 said.

These days I can select the desk, click Type Properties and, assuming the person who made the family provided a parameter to manage its material, I can click on the material value, which exposes the sneaky "Browse" button. The "front door" for materials is really on the Manage tab, the checkered globe button. ► 2005. (73).

They are a panel because Revit needs to keep their width and height flexible, to accommodate any changes we might make. To make matters a bit more confusing Revit treats this curtain wall panel, pretending to be a door, as a door in schedules and in Visibility/Graphics.
