The Brick House served as both a guest house and a retreat for Johnson and his partner David Whitney until their deaths in 2005. In 2005, Edward Fields Carpet Makers joined the House of Tai Ping. Electrical: Chestnut Electric Corp. Philip Johnson spent his first night on the property in the Brick House.
