Interestingly, in Ceiling Plan views only, when we take advantage of this we lose the ability to show just two lines with Detail Level: Coarse. Seems to work fine in plan views though. Could it be that the wall is not being cut in the ceiling plan view and the multiple lines are actually projection lines?

When MEP (Systems as it was called then) appeared a year later they extended the concept to Mechanical and Electrical (plumbing lumped in with Mechanical till release 2013). Daryl used plan views as his example of how the help documentation isnt accurate. Plan views are not the best view type to see the truth in the help claims.

It is now possible to create new view types for all views except for area plans and sheet. This means you can create your own versions of floor plans according to discipline or perhaps design phase. Area plans could help document such things but then floor plans would be "ignorant" of what these kinds of "areas" are, no tagging possible, just "dumb text".
