Not much of a catch but there is no equivalent floor in this case. If there was a floor there Id just check the properties of the floor. you could sketch your own a floor around the perimeter pretty quickly. For my money, Id probably favor a floor. Floors Retail. Floors Condos. Floors Rental. Floors Residential. Floors Examination Rooms. Floors Laboratories. FFE NIC (by owner that may be easier to manage alone). There is a little known technique for managing these using worksets when dealing with linked files and their levels and grids.

Change the scale of the view to make it easier to constrain, select geometry. Dont include parameters in families that dont change geometry, instead put them in project templates and apply them to the categories they affect. On a somewhat related note, is there a way to change or get rid of added object styles in a parent family?

System families have a Function setting. Thats true for Walls, Floor, Roofs and Ceilings. If changed I suspect people would have less trouble deciding which function is appropriate. It cannot be that difficult of change to make for Autodesk either. What you are suggesting is a much bigger change. ► 2007. (77).

This means you can create your own versions of floor plans according to discipline or perhaps design phase. Further, views can be tied to view templates and have changes to a view template take effect immediately in a view or many views. Comments: Comments are moderated to manage spamming. ► 2007. When MEP (Systems as it was called then) appeared a year later they extended the concept to Mechanical and Electrical (plumbing lumped in with Mechanical till release 2013). When Mechanical is assigned Revit changes the nature of what plan and reflected plan mean. The concept of View Discipline appeared with Revit Structure.
