Not much of a catch but there is no equivalent floor in this case. If there was a floor there Id just check the properties of the floor. you could sketch your own a floor around the perimeter pretty quickly. For my money, Id probably favor a floor. Delete Sheets In Browser or Schedules. Rooms and areas can be deleted in model views like floor plans and ceiling plans. Revit warns us that they have been deleted from the model but they are still listed in schedules. To really delete them we have to open a schedule view and delete them there. System families have a Function setting. Thats true for Walls, Floor, Roofs and Ceilings. If changed I suspect people would have less trouble deciding which function is appropriate. It cannot be that difficult of change to make for Autodesk either. What you are suggesting is a much bigger change. Labels: Dept.

This means you can create your own versions of floor plans according to discipline or perhaps design phase. It makes it easier to keep certain sections (details/wall sections) and elevations (interior) off of overall floor plan views for example. Related to this is the notion that there are representations that wed like to control for floor plan orientation and offer a different appear for the reflected ceiling plan (RCP) version.

Change the scale of the view to make it easier to constrain, select geometry. Dont include parameters in families that dont change geometry, instead put them in project templates and apply them to the categories they affect. On a somewhat related note, is there a way to change or get rid of added object styles in a parent family?

The problem with pinning it down is that as soon as I think Ive got it, I change it a little and then Revit doesnt complain about importing the file.
