Not much of a catch but there is no equivalent floor in this case. If there was a floor there Id just check the properties of the floor. you could sketch your own a floor around the perimeter pretty quickly. For my money, Id probably favor a floor. Floors Retail. Floors Condos. Floors Rental. Floors Residential. Floors Examination Rooms. Floors Laboratories. Linked Files - Electrical (Revit). I may not want a water heater visible in my HVAC floor plan and the plumbing views probably dont want to see a condensing unit in them. Wing South.

When MEP (Systems as it was called then) appeared a year later they extended the concept to Mechanical and Electrical (plumbing lumped in with Mechanical till release 2013). Engineers dont generally do reflected plans so Revit made it easier to generate regular floor plans that show their elements in a way they expect to see them.

Area plans could help document such things but then floor plans would be "ignorant" of what these kinds of "areas" are, no tagging possible, just "dumb text". It would be more appropriate to create the ledge with a slab edge applied to the floor slab and then the brick veneer pulled down to the ledge.much like the order of construction would have it happen anyway.
