Delete Sheets In Browser or Schedules. Rooms and areas can be deleted in model views like floor plans and ceiling plans. Revit warns us that they have been deleted from the model but they are still listed in schedules. To really delete them we have to open a schedule view and delete them there. Wall Floor Interaction and Linked Models. The wall continues past the floor as if it isnt there. I should mention that this works the other direction too, since the reveal is part of the wall it will leave a "hollow" space for the structural models floor slab to occupy. Labels: Collaboration , Floors , Linked Files , Walls.

IsReference settings break down like this: Not a Reference - ignored by Revit in the project environment, still useful in a family to create "the bones". Weak Reference - Seen in Project by dimensions, align tool, Revit favors Strong over Weak Strong Reference - Seen in project by dimensions, align tool and Revit sees these first.

It makes it easier to keep certain sections (details/wall sections) and elevations (interior) off of overall floor plan views for example. Related to this is the notion that there are representations that wed like to control for floor plan orientation and offer a different appear for the reflected ceiling plan (RCP) version.

This means you can create your own versions of floor plans according to discipline or perhaps design phase. Tip: Theyve added View Template to the available fields in View Lists (schedule) so it can be managed there too. Comments: Comments are moderated to manage spamming. There isnt an easy button to just eliminate shared coordinates in a project. You can move the Survey Point back to the same spot as the Project Base Point and then use Specify Coordinates at Point to reset the coordinates the file is using. You can't turn on the Visibility of either Survey or Project Base Point in a Link.

Dont define materials in families, define material parameters instead (or possibly sub-categories) as much as possible so materials can be assigned in a project, where they really matter. Dont include parameters in families that dont change geometry, instead put them in project templates and apply them to the categories they affect.
