When Revit Systems was released in 2006, the essence of Autodesks marketing commentary was, "this is new software so it probably doesnt make sense to tackle a project with it unless the architecture team is using Revit too." This information has been sitting in my inbox for a week now. Autodesk Vasari Beta 1 is a slimmed down version of Revit 2013 focusing on conceptual modeling and early analysis. Detailed BIM modeling tools have been removed. I have read that in Vasari, one can edit a model in perspective view. Builds and Updates.

These divisions, while relevant to the architectural model, are ruining the possibilities of creating gbXML files without extensive work on the part of the engineer to remove the room separation lines, and then repair the damage done to the room names and numbers. Joe - in the examples he offered it isn't "poor" modeling.

I used a pair of model lines (assigned to Invisible) to govern the location of the arc and line endpoints. In the thread at AUGI the member that started it all replied that he figured out how to solve it after reading a post at BIM & BEAM. What you describe as working doesn't work on the model lines in my example.

The first book is Mastering Autodesk Revit Structure 2010 (Wiley/Sybex).
