Rooms and areas can be deleted in model views like floor plans and ceiling plans. Revit warns us that they have been deleted from the model but they are still listed in schedules. We can also create rooms and areas in a schedule view before there are any walls or boundaries available to define where they should go. Older Post.

The first book is Mastering Autodesk Revit Structure 2010 (Wiley/Sybex). That could mean structural engineers are too smart for it, or just werent interested in a book, or that the authors, editors and publisher didnt do a good enough job marketing it, or that it just wasnt very good. These divisions, while relevant to the architectural model, are ruining the possibilities of creating gbXML files without extensive work on the part of the engineer to remove the room separation lines, and then repair the damage done to the room names and numbers. However the Room Separations still existed. We just couldn’t see them.

I think that it is natural to be inclined toward building very parametric families.
