I wrote about about one of these Reviteristics in April 2010. That post is about Openings and this one is about curtain wall panel doors. When people first make a curtain wall that is supposed to get a door they quite naturally assume the door tool is the right place to start. A curtain wall door is really a curtain wall panel.

Wall Floor Interaction and Linked Models. When we have architecture and structure in separate Revit models we end up with somewhat clumsy graphics in wall sections. The wall continues past the floor as if it isnt there. Labels: Collaboration , Floors , Linked Files , Walls. It's a little easier to manage than reveals.

Delete Sheets In Browser or Schedules. Revit warns us that they have been deleted from the model but they are still listed in schedules. To really delete them we have to open a schedule view and delete them there. How about instead having a Rooms explorer, like you can explore Schedules, Sheets and Families? Whadya think?

Improves stability when selecting a new host for an element within an In-place Wall. Improves creation consistency with Physical Wall when coping an Analytical Model Wall. Improves stability when splitting pipes which belong to different systems. Improves consistency of unit formatting within Panel Schedules.

System families have a Function setting. Thats true for Walls, Floor, Roofs and Ceilings. I run into wall types quite often that have these wrong or inconsistently applied.
