National BIM Library generic content release 2. BIM objects are as much about the embedded data and information as they are about the spaces and dimensions that they represent graphically. The next phase of generic content includes floor finishes, panel partitions, panel cubicles, signage, sanitaryware and hard landscaping.

System families have a Function setting. Thats true for Walls, Floor, Roofs and Ceilings. Finish 1 [4] = Finish Exterior [4]. Finish 2 [5] = Finish Interior [5]. I run into wall types quite often that have these wrong or inconsistently applied. Builds and Updates. Blog Listing - BIM and Misc.

Wall Floor Interaction and Linked Models. When we have architecture and structure in separate Revit models we end up with somewhat clumsy graphics in wall sections. This is more pronounced if the structural slab is in the structure model only. The wall continues past the floor as if it isnt there.
