Monday, May 14, 2012. of Echo - Dont use the Basic Ceiling. When an architect uses the Basic Ceiling-Generic type they are creating a situation for the Revit MEP user they may not be aware of. Face based content does not orient themselves to the correct side or face of this ceiling. This allows us to use a ceiling tag.

When Revit Systems was released in 2006, the essence of Autodesks marketing commentary was, "this is new software so it probably doesnt make sense to tackle a project with it unless the architecture team is using Revit too."
