Construction officially started on the $600-million facility in April 2013 and aircraft assembly is planned to begin in 2015, with a targeted 2016 delivery of its first A320 jetliner. The 4,600 workers currently employed at the plant are producing nearly 300,000 vehicles this year, generating an estimated $2 billion in annual profits.
