The 2015 International Energy Conservation Code includes better controls for lighting and daylighting, and new HVAC technology. It also requires that all air-cooled, direct expansion HVAC units (including variable refrigerant flow products) be equipped with a fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) reporting system.
