Plans to improve accessibility at Ballarat Station include installing a pedestrian overpass with a passenger lift and stairs to both platforms, a new ramp and stairs to the northern station entrance, lighting and tactile upgrades, and landscaping. Crews will also start relocating communications services in the project area.
The project will also deliver a new pedestrian overpass, along with lifts and stairs installed at bot platforms. Access will also be improved to the existing northern station entrance with a new ramp, stairs, and automatic sliding door. Trains now run every 20 minutes on average during peak times.
