Custom convection style heaters, mounted in the building’s millwork by Faber Industrial Technologies, proved to be the game-changing resolution. Due to mechanical constraints exacerbated by the building’s slim design, hot water was not available in most of the upper residences, rendering hydronic heating systems impractical.

When I did an online image search for “modern office design”, I saw neutral color schemes of black, grey, white, or brown with a pop of accent color, minimalism, ergonomic furniture, biophilic décor, textured walls, glass dividers, natural light, and acoustic ceiling systems. Typically, when building out a first-floor retail space, we can remove storefront windows in order to bring in oversized equipment and materials. But since 75 Rockefeller Plaza’s façade, storefront windows and original glazing system are all protected by the building’s landmark status , we couldn’t touch them.

The second floor features a 6,700-square foot yard in the back of the building, which is one of several outdoor tenant amenities. The 11th and 12th floors house multiple amenities, most of which are designed to take advantage of the breathtaking Manhattan views that are available from these floors.
